Great videos begin with great stories. In our conversation with Lisa Whitman, co-owner of Digital Stories Productions, we talked about how to use stories as the foundation of a great video. Lisa describes herself as a host, interviewer, listener, story teller, producer and professional chit-chatter.

About Lisa 

Lisa Whitman – Owner and President, Digital Stories Productions

Lisa is passionate about helping individuals, organizations, businesses and companies tell their story and share their message. As the owner of a full-service video production company, she oversees the written and visual content and communications for their clients, which include Community Health Network, Franciscan Alliance Health Network, Hyatt Recruiting, Direct Employers, and several Fortune 500 and 1000 companies.

In 1994, she served as a video journalist in Russia and traveled its eleven time zones interviewing those in the Ministry of Education.  She has been a writer and video producer for Indianapolis Woman Magazine and has a website call LocalLisa.com. She was the host for Fox59’s ‘Indy’s Marketplace’ television program, and has spent the past twenty years as a professional interviewer. As a former home-school mother, she and her husband Travis now spend much of their time balancing work projects while overseeing homework, making meals, traveling to sports practices and volunteering through their church and in the community.
Lisa is active in women’s networking organizations, serves on the board for Women Empowering Women Network; a mentoring organization. She was the 2012 emcee for the Integrating Women Leader’s Conference and is the spokesperson and VP of communications for the Bally Foundation; a resource for those with special needs.  She is also a writer, blogger, and mother to 5 energetic kids ages 3-16.
