There are many misconceptions when it comes to age and social media. Recent studies have found that people aged 65 and older are the fastest growing age group on Facebook and that 47% of people aged 50 to 64 use social media today, proving that social media has now become anyone’s game. But the bias against age groups persist. Young professionals often have trouble demonstrating they understand the business applications of the tool, while folks in the over fifty crowd may struggle to prove they can manage the technology

Next Wednesday ( June 29th) Allison and I will be discussing the challenges and misconceptions about using social media at any age. Expect the same lighthearted tone we used for our presentation to the social media club earlier this year.  Join the conversation, with comments, questions, or tips about using social media or age related barbs by posting it here, sending it to one of us on Twitter or Facebook, or calling in during the show at (805) 285 -9865.  Remember to use the #hashtag  #MTFW on Twitter.

The call will be live from 10:30 – 11:00 on Wednesday, June 29th. You will be able to listen to the program from my station on BlogTalkRadio.com And  if the time is not convenient for you, listen to the recorded program from the player below or from our iTunes channel.
