Reviewing my web traffic, one thing which has remained constant over the last few years is the percent of new visitors.   Approximately 70% of the traffic to my website is comprised of first time visitors.  So with that in mind, I thought I would copy an idea from Copyblogger and add a weekly wrap up to our blog on Friday’s.

So if you have stopped by to hear Roundpeg Radio ( we will be live at 10:00 am) or you were just curious about our Small Business Services – you can see an overview of what you missed this week.

Saturday – Small Business Facebook Study: Part Two

While most of the companies we surveyed indicated they use Facebook to promote their business, few seem to be seeing any real result from their activities.   As we dove into the data we found few had a specific, or consistent approach to the process.  Read more here

Sunday – More than a Few Words: The Brand Gap ( A Pod Cast)

After a series of bad reviews, the Gap has gone back to their original logo. This podcast was actually recorded a few days ago and as you can tell, I think going back was the first good choice they made recently. Listen to the podcast here

Monday – Breaking Up is Hard to Do

At Roundpeg, we’re entering an exciting new time. The company has grown beyond Lorraine banging out business plans at her dining room table. There are now four full-time employees, one part-timer, and several interns at any given time.  Instead of working  primarily with micro businesses, our sweet spot is now early stage-two companies grossing $250,000 to $2 million. We’ve learned a lot, and we offer more services with a higher price tag. It’s so exciting to be a part of a growing, vibrant company. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t growing pains. Tuesday – Meet Jon Benefiel – Our New Intern

I am a senior at the University of Southern Indiana studying Marketing and Business Communications. I am currently finishing several courses via online because I now live in in Fishers Indiana with my girlfriend Stacy and my 2 dogs Milo and Cooper which are Miniature Golden doodles.  For more about Jon

Wednesday – Seasonal Comfort

Working with the same client over time allows us to try some different things yet stay true to their brand.  We have been working with Precision Comfort of Westfield Indiana for more than a year, developing seasonal advertising campaigns.   This year we mapped out a two part strategy with slightly different offers for the fall and winter promotions.  See examples of work by Interns Sharaya and Heather

Thursday – Small Business Facebook Study Part 3

We wanted to know more than just if small business owners were using social media, we wanted to know.  What were their objectives.  In our survey we asked business owners to comment on each of twelve possible uses for Facebook.  See the results of the survey here.
