My Internship in Review

It’s hard for me to believe that my time here at the ‘Peg has come to an end! Over the past three months I’ve had such a great time getting to know everyone on the Roundpeg team (yes, including Benny and Clyde), meeting great clients, and learning that writing only gets easier with lots and lots of practice.

Why Blog Posts Should Have Dates

There is nothing more frustrating than finding a great, interesting, organized blog post that doesn’t have a ‘date published’ or a ‘date-posted’. Without a date, I second-guess the content. And will often return to the internet to sift through more information to either confirm what I read or simply to find a more reliable source.

The Live Tweeting Process

Last week I had the opportunity to go to the grand opening of Joe’s Next Door, the extension of Joe’s Butcher Shop in Carmel, IN. However, I did not go just as a spectator, but as part of the official Roundpeg team in charge of marketing the grand opening live from Twitter. Live tweeting, when done right, gives you a chance to engage with people, building relationships which will extend long after the event is over.

How Website Images Create Good First Impressions

As it happens, we tend to judge by our first impressions. First impressions can be wrong and misguided, but I’ve often made important decisions off of them anyway. From deciding where to eat using pictures on a restaurant’s menu, to picking out what book to read, to buying a present online, we make decisions all the time from visual first impressions. This also applies to websites.
