Instagram Video: It was only a matter of time before Instagram added video. Smartphones switch easily from photo to video mode, so why shouldn’t Instagram users be able to do the same? The fifteen-second format is ideal for today’s social media consumer. It’s long enough to deliver a marketing message and short enough to hold the attention span of a viewer on the go.
Pinterest Rich Pins: The latest upgrade to Pinterest business accounts is the creation of rich pins which offer consumers additional information at a glance, like pricing or available colors. There’s money in those pins. A number of recent studies indicate Pinterest users spend more money than Facebook users for items they find on the respective platform.
Snapchat: Not quite ready for business, this fun app is quite popular with teens and young adults. This app allows for the user to take a picture in the moment knowing it will self destruct within 10 seconds. Right now, there isn’t much of a business application, but that might change over time.
