When I started Roundpeg 9 years ago, I had a vision of a creative and fun environment.  I believed if people laughed at worked, enjoyed each other’s company, and  took regular breaks to recharge their creative engines, they would be able to create a steady flow of new ideas to help keep our small business clients one step ahead of their competitors.

What I have learned, is that maintaining our creative environment takes work, or maybe just a work out . So, last week the Roundpeg crew dropped by the kickboxing class at KnowSweat.   I can tell you it is not as easy as it looks.  Instructor, Ian definitely keeps  keeps you moving.

While we didn’t have much time to talk during class, we had plenty of things to talk about the next day, as we compared aches, pains and sore muscles.  So what does any of this have to do with marketing and creative thinking?  Everything!  The relationships between our team members are built on more then just what we share at work.  Shared fun and interesting experiences create bonds and communication links we can draw on when we need a little inspiration.

So this summer we have lots of adventures planned.  There will certainly be more restaurants, because we love food.  There will also be art (The Children’s Museum), theater (Avenue Q at the Phoenix), exercise (Yoga)  and maybe even a trip to the zoo.  Do you want to join us?  Just look for updates on twitter and our fan page.   And if you have a suggestion on something you think we should add to our experiences, we would love to hear from you. ( Just bring the Advil if your are going to suggest another exercise class)
