On November 12 – 14, entrepreneurs from around the world will gather in their local cities  build business and compete for international recognition in a series of StartUp Weekend events.  Among the cities included in the competition which kicks off the Global Entrepreneur Week, are Boston, Lexington, KY, Sofia, Bulgaria, Beirut Lebanon, and Indianapolis, IN.

Previous events here in Indy have brought together individuals ranging in age from 17 – 70 with skills across disciplines from developers and designers to marketing, finance and business development. Several companies have emerged, and we expect more of the same  this fall.  But Startupweekend is about more then just starting businesses.  It is about starting people on the path to and entrepreneurial career and building a self-sustaining entrepreneurial ecosystem.
