Recently,  Allison wrote a post about Jump Starting your Business with Interns. This is something I have always believed was a valuable partnership for both the students and the small business owner.   When I need to add a full time employee, I always look to former or current interns first.  Why?  They know us, our systems and our quirks.  And we know them!

And even if they don’t become full time employees, they gain tremendous real world experience, training on a wide variety of software programs they don’t teach in school, an opportunity to build their portfolio, and see how marketing is applied in the real world.

This summer we will have a full house with three interns! Wow! We’re so excited to welcome these ladies to the Roundpeg office: Emily will be working on PR and Social Media, Kelly on marketing, and Jenny on graphic design. In addition to helping with our normal work load, these interns will also be helping several not-for-profit clients, including the Entrepreneurship Advancement Center and the Blind Children Alliance.

Check out their bios below.  Look for them at networking events, follow them on Twitter, and make them feel welcome!
