You have already met our first intern, Christine Mahley.  Today, you will have a chance to meet Jay Mattingly, a senior at IUPUI.  He has only been here a few weeks and is already a wiz on WordPress.  Here is his first post on the topic!

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been learning the ins and outs of our web 2.0 creation system WordPress. WordPress gives you all the tools necessary to create clean, efficient, effective websites without being overwhelmingly complex.

One of my favorite parts of WordPress is the ability to use plugins to customize websites. WordPress already allows an unbelievable amount of customization, but the addition of plugins allows your website to do and be more than a few pages with links.

For instance, recently we acquired the “eShop” plugin. This plugin allows you to provide an entirely new dimension to your website by offering items for retail sale. With e-commerce growing at an unprecedented rate, can your business afford not to offer its inventory for online purchase?

As time goes on, the introduction and use of plugins to customize and extend website functionality will grow even more. What plugins will you find to help your business?
